Access should be designed in.
SDVOBMall is committed to making its public website and educational materials usable by people with disabilities.
Private-preview objective: Review keyboard navigation, readable contrast, scalable text, meaningful page structure, form labels, reduced-motion support, and mobile behavior before public launch.
Current measures
- Responsive layouts for desktop, tablet, and mobile use.
- Keyboard-accessible navigation and forms.
- Visible labels and semantic headings.
- High-contrast primary content and controls.
- Reduced-motion behavior when requested by the user’s device.
- Plain-language notices around inactive preview forms and resources.
Continuous improvement
Accessibility is an ongoing process. Before public launch, the site should undergo automated and manual testing, including keyboard-only review and representative screen-reader review.
Feedback
An official accessibility-feedback method will be added before public launch. Users should be able to request content in an alternate format and describe any barrier without being required to disclose unnecessary medical information.
